2006 HHM Fest Masonic Temple Line-Up
The Chauceworth Aif: http://www.myspace.com/aif  The current musical output of Trevor Edmonds, under the umbrella of the Chauceworth Aif, is a product of evolution.  Trevor has been able to become comfortable with what he feels is, in a sense, his signature sound. He programmed fuzzy edged synthesizer patches that resembled the moments between sleep and consciousness, created an arsenal of circuit-bent electronics which added chaotic textures to the band's sound, and developed his performance skills on a handful of instruments.

Canada:
http://www.myspace.com/canada  Canada is a live rock and roll band of seven friends that put out albums of songs that they write and perform together.  The music is soothing, calm and overall amazing. The songs coincide with one another, making you wonder where one song begins and where it ends.  Canada, a band of multi-instrumentalists and visual artists from mid-Michigan, is currently ensconced in studios recording their second full-length and songwriting alongside similarly wonderful band Page France.

The End of an Era:
www.myspace.com/theendofanerarock  The End Of An Era is a four piece band from Bay City, MI.  Their sound is poppy/emo and catchy as hell.  In the vein of American Football, The Get Up Kids and anything else you can think of from the genre.  They can be found playing shows all over the Mid-Michigan area.

Clear Days Always:
http://www.myspace.com/cleardaysalways  Clear Days Always is the music of Levi Bailey, a big fat nobody from Grand Rapids, Mich. His other band, Spit For Athena, is known for its short, brutal pop songs as played by a couple of hardcore kids and a former dance-instructor. Clear Days Always is Bailey?s obscene, ego-driven solo project.  The music on his Friction Records release, "Ten Fingers: Five Yours, Five Mine and Habits Like Self Love," was recorded in bedrooms and barns across Michigan. On this record, he trimmed down countless hours of four-track cluster-fucks to something just short of 80 minutes of his most accessible material.

Our Space In Time:
http://www.myspace.com/ourspaceintime   The idea started in the winter of 2003. after the Mid-Michigan band ANASET broke up. The members went their separate ways. With Scott moving from bass to guitar/vocals, and Jason moving from keyboards to drums/vocals, they started playing with newcomer Brent on bass. A few friends came and went along the way, until Stevie joined on guitar in the summer of 2003. The 4 of them played together for over a year and released an EP titled "The Tokelau EP". Then in late 2004, Raul joined on drums, who was also the drummer in the former band, Anaset. Shortly after, the band added Bryon on guitar/vocals and Ashleigh on keyboard. Our Space In Time recorded at Key Club Studios in Benton Harbor, MI for a split 7" with Tristeza in Oct. of 2005. The yet untitled split should be coming out late spring 2007 on the Michigan label Hidden Feast Records. Their first full length titled "In Waves" was self-recorded by the band in the Berringer building in Saginaw, MI from Nov 2005 to July 2006. Jason switched to keyboards to play a few shows before deciding to quit the band in July 2006. Soon after, Ashleigh also decided to go in a different direction. They continue to play and tour as a five piece.

The Esperantos:
http://www.myspace.com/theesperantos Three-piece band from Bay City, Michigan specializing in stripped down, straight-forward rock and roll.  "Get ready for the young, hot shot brigade! Blazing hot garage rock from Bay City! These youngsters have all the right moves and some great attitude and energy. Nuggets hooks and fuzz mix with poppy hooks and danceable grooves. We kindly suggest that you pay attention! Great stuff." (Rich/Lager House Detroit, MI)

Corcovado:
http://www.myspace.com/corcovado  Corcovado can be found somewhere along the path where dream pop, noise pop and indie rock intersect. Corcovado is at times reminiscent of the Pale Saints, Swirlies, My Bloody Valentine and Sonic Youth. Their style is challenging and subverts traditional pop/rock song structures. Their songs contain intricate patterns of guitar paired with loud, reverb drenched feedback woven with breathy female vocals over driven bass lines and precision drumming bound together by a reliance on sonic texture, both in terms of instruments and vocals. Their live performance carries with it an honest and delicately raw distinction. As visual artists Corcovado bring a D.I.Y. style of production to their merchandise from handmade t-shirt designs, bags, as well as their EP cover giving as much life to their merchandise and packaging as they give to the creation of the music it represents.

Invisible Mansion:

Winnie Cooper:
http://www.myspace.com/winniecoopermusic Becky wrote a buncha songs with her guitar and vocal cords and a lovely keyboardist named Suzi. After trying several drummers out to give them some rhythm, they found Derek was a good match. With Suzi's husband Jeremy completing the quartet on bass, they were finally ready to take on the world with their arsenal of power pirate pop punk rockers. But then, when Becky n Derek got hitched, they needed their sex appeal back, and hired the throw-away-trim-catcher and certified fifth wheel, Troy from the former Corcovado.

Dirt Road Logic:
http://www.myspace.com/dirtroadlogic  Michigan-based roots rock quartet Dirt Road Logic craft gritty and passionate tales of the Midwest that evoke the ragged alt-country of Drive-By Truckers, the wistful Americana of Old 97's, and the bar band sensibilities of early-'70s Rolling Stones. Formed in the spring of 2005, the group took to the road like their name would suggest, building a solid fan base that extended beyond their regional predilections and sharing the stage with artists as diverse as Shooter Jennings, the Fluoride Program, and John Corbett. Great Lake Heart Ache, their electrifying 12-song debut, was recorded at Ann Arbor, MI's Big Sky Studios and released on Embassy Hotel Records in May 2006.

For Wishes:
http://www.myspace.com/forwishes For Wishes is the brain child of songwriter and musician Steve Swartz. From minimal folk-inspired ambience to darker, more turbulent rock outings, the sound of For Wishes is a collage of musical textures and rhythms both intimate and sprawling.  The group started out as a side project involving members of the band Au Revoir Borealis. Where Au Revoir's music featured large arrangements and thickly layered guitars, For Wishes' sound favors a quieter and more stripped down acoustic approach. As Au Revoir Borealis' activity decreased over time, For Wishes became Steve's main musical outlet.

The Nice Device:
http://www.myspace.com/thenicedevice  Their songs are pop gems that manage to be both moody and uplifting through a combination of magnetic vocals, chiming guitars, and sprightly rhythms. Artfully and exquisitely tough there's no time like the present; like old inter-connected office rooms and frequent visits to some idealized future, the band's artistic growing pains have become evident.  At every post millennium turn and with the addiction to perpetual newness, we look to those who are never standing still. With more than a desire to become famous among friends, this ever evolving five-some have been honing their craft for the last 5 years. Preferring to remain along the fringes they are surprisingly one of their cities best kept secrets.
